250 of a Kind: The Intel Drone Light Show in Las Vegas

Remember not too long ago that futuristic, mind-boggling blockbuster trilogy called the Matrix? I'm pretty sure you have. Well the Intel drones have arrived in Las Vegas for the very first time, but these ones won't kill you.

I *heart* Intel and their drone light show - WOW.

Intel's highly coordinated drone light show

The Santa Clara, California based computer chip making corporation that runs in millions of devices world-wide known as Intel has introduced a rare first in Las Vegas - a drone light show.

The official name of the show or I should say the drone is called, "Intel® Shooting Star™". I want to personally give a shout out to Natalie Cheung, the General Manager of Drone Light Shows at Intel who manages this project. These drone light shows have also happened at Coachella, last year's NFL Super Bowl halftime show with Lady Gaga and in Los Angeles (Wonder Woman). The shows captivated thousands of spectators who attended the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) for the entire showcase week and other surprised tourists who were lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time.

The Bellagio and Caesars Palace backdrop + 250 Intel drones + Kygo's "Stargazing" track = PHENOMENAL!

A pulsating one-of-a-kind experience

The drone light show took place above the famed-Bellagio water fountains. After a brief few moments of the regularly scheduled, Fountains of Bellagio show, eagle-eyed pedestrians could see a "swarm" of red LED lights eminating above the fountains.

They slowly changed colors from red to white with specks of blue, some drones zoomed up, others zoomed down, some zoomed left and others zoomed right. Eventually, they would all get brighter and you could see them very clearly. The first thought of comparison one might think, would be the killer sentinels or "squiddy" as they are called by the Human Resistance in the blockbuster trilogy, The Matrix.

The near-5 minute show had the perfect background music, which after Shazam'ing it, discovered it was by the Norwegian DJ called, Kygo and the song was called "Stargazing".

The drones in coordination started forming what looked liked a jellyfish, then funneled down as the Fountains of Bellagio burst below, the drones become a blue star. The amazing technology that humankind has been developing just keeps getting better and better.

The best place to watch the Intel drone light show is on the sidewalk in front of the Fountains of Bellagio just off South Las Vegas Boulevard.

Finally, I saved the best part of the show for the last. Watch the 19 second clip below and see for yourself, then carefully listen to what the guy in the background says once the show is finished.

Intel - O M G indeed.

The rumor that I heard was that next year during #CES2019, they will double the drones to 500. That would be pretty cool to see!
