Transportation Recommendation: Using Uber in Cusco, Peru

Updated: Oct 18, 2019

Using Uber or the taxi is very easy in Cusco, Peru. If you are looking for a trustworthy driver, hire Roger Molina, whom we used multiple times.

Uber in Cusco, Peru

If you are used to using Uber back home in the United States or in many other international cities, you'll be happy to know that Uber is available in Cusco, Peru too.

The rates are very low, compared to what I'm used to seeing back home in the Bay Area (California).

Taxi's are also plentiful in Cusco. As soon as you step outside of the airport, you'll see plenty of taxi's you can grab. What you will also notice is that many taxi's are also Uber drivers.

We found an awesome, honest driver named Roger Molina. I highly recommend that you use him too. He was always early whenever we emailed him (yes, he responds very fast to his email) and that seemed like a great way to communicate with him.

He picked us up at our hotel several times and always emailed me to let us know he was outside of the hotel.

We asked him to drive us from our hotel to the apaca farm and he waited for us. I wanted to check his rates, so I checked how much it would cost if we used Uber and his rate was very fair. It was actually very cheap. Since we were up in the country-side, there wouldn't be many Ubers in that area, nor where there any taxi's. Roger waited for about one hour as we checked out the apacas and llamas.

We even asked him to pick us up at 4:00 AM from our hotel to drop us off at the airport and he of course, showed up a little early and emailed to let us know.

Some of the services that he does (based on his business card) are:

  • Airport - Hotel

  • Terminal

  • City Tour

  • Valle Sagrado

  • Maras - Moray

  • Valle Sur

  • Montana de Colores (Rainbow Mountain)

  • Ollantaytambo

  • Otros
