Are you looking for an eco-friendly rental to spend your vacation or holiday in Lebanon? If you enjoy fresh mountain air, scenic views overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and Southern hospitality, you need to book a stay at this one-of-a-kind bed & breakfast penthouse in Beirut.
If you are planning on visiting Beirut for a vacation or holiday you are probably doing your due dilligence and researching as much as you can. You're probably doing a little background on Lebanon as a country and a good place to start especially if you are an American citizen is to always check the U.S. State Department's website about Lebanon.
Let me tell you that Lebanon is a very liberal and forward thinking country. Yes, they have experienced much conflict in their history and yes, currently, they have a huge influx of Syrians who have escaped their country to find a better life - in Lebanon, but don't let all of that scare you away.
This small country has everything you need: wineries, night life, historic sites, beaches and so much more!
If all of the above sounds exciting to you, I recommend enjoying your vacation by staying at a luxurious bed & breakfast called, Villa Pavone.
Book an eco-friendly three-bedroom penthouse at Villa Pavone
Does the thought of escaping high up into the Lebanon Mountains to a three-bedroom penthouse with modern furnishings, natural light and scenic views of the Mediterranean Sea entice you?
If you said yes, then you should book a stay at Villa Pavone located in Beirut, Lebanon.
My friends Jessica and Nabil, who built and own this beautiful home moved to Lebanon from Texas. They bring that Southern hospitality I mentioned earlier. You'll feel very comfortable staying at Villa Pavone because they make you feel like a part of their family.
What's included in the penthouse?
You'll get a private family-style experience which includes:
Three-bedrooms (which can sleep up to 6 guests)
Each bedroom has it's own private bathroom
Each bedroom has it's own walk-in closet
A spacious living room, dining room & kitchen
Balconies with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea
You will also enjoy:
Access to the rooftop terrace & infinity pool
Authentic Lebanese cuisine prepared by VP Chef, on request
Chauffeur & Car Service (speaks English, Arabic & French)
How is Villa Pavone eco-friendly?
Villa Pavone seamlessly combines luxury with being eco-friendly. How? They have a custom-designed rain collection system which provides water for the entire penthouse. This rain water is then heated using solar panels which is then pumped to the home. The waste water, which is also called, "gray water"is then cleaned and recycled to use in their organic fruit and vegetable gardens.
Villa Pavone also has many exotic birds, roosters and chickens who lay fresh farm eggs. All of the vegetable scraps are fed to the chickens and the waste from the chickens is composted, which is then used as fertilizer for the gardens, which completes the cycle!
My experience at Villa Pavone
I'll be one of the first to tell you that Villa Pavone is an awesome place to stay if you visit Beirut. The location is about 20 minutes away from the crowded and touristy areas in downtown.
You don't have to worry about driving either because Mike (who I call the "Lebanese Cowboy", he wears cowboy boots and belt buckle!) will be your personal tour guide and chauffeur. He knows Lebanon and it's history like no one else. Very knowledgeable and simply an awesome guy.
The views you see from the rooftop terrace and the infinity pool are so Instagram worthy. Your friends will be jealous of you!
The best times to enjoy the rooftop terrace are the evening when the sun goes down and you can see the city lights of Beirut flicker with amazing views of the Mediterranean Sea. Also, once those infinity pool lights come on you'll see a very inviting blue water to relax in.
You get a ton of space in the penthouse. Each room is very large and the walk-in closets have plenty of space to put your luggage inside and to hang your clothes.
The living room and dining room spaces are more than enough space to congregate and enjoy each other's company. I was also very impressed with the full-kitchen too. The kitchen has a large island, big refrigerator, sink and utensils.
If you love animals, then you'll love Villa Pavone. They have a swan named Gustav, a peacock named Louis and many other exotic and domestic birds which live on the property.
